Terms of Service
Welcome to Invite-Only. These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Invite-Only mobile application and website. These Terms also constitute the End User License Agreement (EULA) for the Invite-Only mobile application distributed through the Apple App Store.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Invite-Only is a social platform that connects hosts with guests for curated social experiences including dining, events, and other activities. The Service includes in-app messaging, video and audio calling between matched users, post-event rating and feedback, and notification features.
3. Account Registration & Verification
- You must provide accurate and complete account information
- Email verification is required
- At least one social media handle is required for verification
- A minimum of three profile photos is required
- You must enter your city of residence. Granting GPS location access is optional — the Service is fully usable without it.
- You must complete a selfie verification step during onboarding, in which a live photo is compared against your primary profile photo to confirm your identity.
4. Host & Guest Obligations
- Hosts must provide accurate invite details and communicate promptly
- Guests must honor commitments and behave respectfully
- All users must follow applicable law and community standards
- After events, both hosts and guests may rate each other; abusive ratings are subject to moderation
5. User Conduct & Community Guidelines
- No harassment, abuse, impersonation, or unlawful activity
- No false, misleading, sexually explicit, hateful, or fraudulent content
- No bots, scraping, spam, or attempts to bypass safety systems
- No recording, screenshotting, or redistributing video/audio calls without the other party's explicit consent
- No inappropriate, threatening, or harassing behavior during video or audio calls
6. Moderation, Reporting & Enforcement
We use reporting, blocking, and a progressive moderation strike system to protect the community, including warnings, suspensions, and permanent bans.
7. Payments, Subscriptions & Purchases
7.1 Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
Some features require paid subscriptions (e.g., Gold or VIP tiers). Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. If a free trial is offered, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the stated price unless you cancel before the trial ends.
7.2 One-Time Purchases
One-time purchases such as Boosts and unlock packs are non-recurring.
7.3 Apple App Store Purchases
Apple App Store: Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited upon purchasing a subscription.
If and when the Service is made available on the Google Play Store, Android purchases will be processed through Google Play Billing and subject to Google's Terms of Service.
7.4 Refund Policy
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable except as required by law. Apple App Store refunds must be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com. If the Service becomes available on Google Play, refunds for those purchases will be subject to Google's policies. Unused credits are non-refundable. Banned accounts are not eligible for refunds.
7.5 Founding Host Program
Promotional Founding Host benefits are subject to expiration and cannot be transferred or refunded.
7.6 Referral Program
Referral rewards are granted when the referred user creates an account and meets eligibility criteria. Referral credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may expire. We may modify or discontinue the program at any time.
8. Notifications
You agree to receive functional and transactional notifications (push, email, SMS) related to account activity. You may also receive periodic digest emails. Manage preferences in Settings → Notification Preferences.
9. Content Ownership & License
You retain ownership of your content, but grant Invite-Only a license to use it for operating and promoting the Service.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
11. Account Deletion
You may delete your account through settings, subject to limited retention obligations.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Invite-Only limits liability for indirect and consequential damages.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Invite-Only for claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
15. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Disputes are subject to binding arbitration on an individual basis where allowed by law.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time and will update the effective date above.
18. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
